Polistuc WOOD promotes coating systems destined to paint wooden substrates placed indoor and outdoor. Depending on the final use and the chemical and mechanical stresses to which they are subjected, the products are combined together to provide the desired result. These systems can be applied manually or using automated coating lines, always guaranteeing the same final quality.

Coating systems for interior
Polistuc NatureCare – Eco-friendly PU systems for interior
The care and protection of the environment in which we live are constant incentives for the research for new technological solutions for a more sustainable, ecological coating with low VOC emissions into the atmosphere, to which is added the improvement of indoor air quality of home environment. Polistuc NatureCare It is a group of solventborne coating systems for interior, specific for furniture, furnishing accessories and flat parts in general. The systems can be of two types, with aromatic-free products or products with very low VOC emissions.
The aromatic-free systems include the application of one or two coats of clearor pigmentedsealer, and a coat of clearor pigmentedtopcoat. If the system is open grain it is recommended to apply an alternative clearsealer. In clear systems, the application of a transparentor semitransparentstain can be considered. The LOW VOC systems also include the application of one or two coats of clearor pigmentedsealer, and a coat of clearor pigmentedtopcoat. In clear systems, the application of a transparentor semitransparentstain can be considered.
Polistuc FIRESCREEN – Fire retardant PU systems for interior
In environments where it is necessary to reduce the risk that an ignition of any kind gives rise to a start of fire, it is mandatory to install covering materials or furniture that
have a self-extinguishing behavior, that is, for which, once the ignition is removed, combustion ceases. In order to meet the growing demand from the market for
products with these characteristics, the Polistuc laboratory developed and fine-tuned FIRESCREEN, a set of fire retardant coating sytems, both clear and pigmented, able to give the painted product adequate protection according to the Italian UNI 9796, European EN 13501 standards and British BS 476: part 7.
The products included in FIRESCREEN are a clear sealer IT01PRIMER and a white one IGNIPRIMER30, and a clear topcoat IT01TOP and a white one IGNITOP30. The composition of the coating systems depends on the legislation to be followed. In detail:
- Coating system according to Italian regulation UNI9796: The system involves the application of two coats of clear or pigmented sealer and one coat of clear or pigmented topcoat, depending on the desired final result. The correct weights to be applied are indicated in the TDS related to these products. Class achieved: 1
- Coating system according to European standard EN13501: The system involves the application of a clear or pigmented sealer and a clear or pigmented topcoat, depending on the desired final result. The correct weights to be applied are indicated in the TDS related to these products. Class achieved: Bs2d0
- Coating system according to British standard BS476: Part 7: The system involves the application of two coats of clear or pigmented sealer and one coat of clear or pigmented topcoat, depending on the desired final result. The correct weights to be applied are indicated in the TDS related to these products. Class achieved: 1
Concerning to the UNI9796 and BS476: Part 7 standards, six additional pigmented bases are also included with which it is possible to formulate a wide range of colors belonging to the common color charts of the sector or customized ones.

Polistuc Plant was born from the recovery of processing waste from the agri-food industry, a set of coating systems made up of sustainable products that Polistuc proposes for the coating of wood. The high quality level and production efficiency, always respecting the environment that surrounds us, have led Polistuc’s Research and Development to study a wide range of waterborne products that guarantees to furniture, windows and doors, excellent aesthetic qualities and mechanical performances. Research work is the basis of the formulation of Polistuc Plant coatings: the use of resins obtained from renewable resources traces the path of sustainable development, helping to reduce the use of fossil resources and the emission of greenhouse gases of its production processes.
Polistuc Plant systems allow to coat furniture, furnishing accessories, kitchens and interior doors. Interior systems include the application of one or two coats of clear or pigmented sealer, and one coat of clear or pigmented topcoat. Alternatively, it is possible to apply two or three coats of a clear self sealer, choosing between a general use version and one mainly designed for flooring.

The lasting of a coating system over time depends on many factors, including an proper choice of the type of wood to be painted and the optimal coating system to achieve the desired performances. Polishield is a series of waterborne systems for exterior specific for windows and doors, that are guaranteed up to 10 years. All the systems have a common composition, they include the application of a suitable impregnating agent for softwoodor hardwood, a clear immersion sealer, a clear or pigmented sealer applied by spray, and a clear or pigmented topcoat applied by spray in a or two coats. The products are formulated with special additives that increase the stability to sunlight, the mechanical characteristics and the degree of protection of the coated wood.
PoliStruct – Waterborne systems for exposed structures
The lasting of a coating system over time depends on many factors, including an proper choice of the type of wood to be painted and the optimal coating system to achieve the desired performances. The degree of exposure to atmospheric agents and solar radiation requires a careful choice of paint products. PoliStruct is a set of waterborne coating systems for exterior specific for wooden structures, floors or garden furniture that are completely or partially exposed to atmospheric agents. All the systems have a common composition, they include the application of a suitable tinted impregnating agent for conifers or broadleaves and a clear or tinted waxy impregnating agent, which is different depending on the final intended use. The products are formulated with special additives that increase the stability to sunlight, the mechanical characteristics and the degree of protection of the coated wood. If windows and doors need to be protected, WIC2100 is the right product. For floors, benches and chairs, where the thickness of paint is essential, WIC2350 is the perfect product. For facades, tool sheds, canopies, fences, flower boxes, tables, gazebos, pompeianas, the WIC2200 and WIC2250 products are the most suitable.
PoliSupreme – Oil systems for exposed wooden structures
The lasting of a coating system over time depends on many factors, including an proper choice of the type of wood to be painted and the optimal coating system to achieve the desired performances. The degree of exposure to atmospheric agents and solar radiation requires a careful choice of coating products. PoliSupreme is a set of mixed coating systems for outdoorspecific for wooden structures, floors or garden furniture that are completely or partially exposed to atmospheric agents. All the systems have a common composition, they include the application of a suitable tinted impregnating agent for conifers or broadleaves and of a colorless or tinted finishing oil, which is different depending on the desired level of opacity. The products are formulated with special additives that increase the stability to sunlight, the mechanical characteristics and the degree of protection of the coated wood. They are universal systems and can be applied on floors, benches and chairs, facades, tool sheds, fences, flower boxes, tables, gazebos and pompeianas. The systems can be matt with a natural effect, and so VS1750 is used, or satin, and so VS1850 is used.

PoliWood EXT – Acrylic systems for exterior
The effective and efficient protection of wooden surfaces placed outdoor is a crucial aspect in the study and formulation of exterior coatings. The correct choice of performing additives and elastic resins, with high resistance to mechanical and oxidative stresses due to atmospheric agents, determines the lasting of the application system. Indeed, by varying the components or modifying their quantities, it is possible to shape the technical and aesthetic characteristics of a paint, extending its lasting outside. PoliWood EXT identifies two solventborne acrylic systems for exterior intended for the painting of any wood essence. Essences included are exotic woods, woods rich in tannin or extractives, okuméplywood and finger joints. These systems are characterized by high transparency, resistance to solar radiation, versatility and ease of application, good water repellency and levelling. It contrasts the formation of fungi and molds, because the coating film is breathable.
PoliWood EXT systems allow to coat windows and doors, canopies, facades, gazebos, pompeianas and garden furniture in general. The systems include the application of an appropriate colored (clear systems) or colorless (pigmented systems) insulating agent, a clear or pigmented sealer, and one or two coats of clear or pigmented topcoat. Depending on the coated essence and the composition of the application system considered, it is possible to reach different lasting of the product, it being understood that a correct and routine maintenance of the coated surface must be performed.
